DEVICE AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE
SINGLE PNEUMATIC CLIPPER КО-280
Clipper КО-280 includes the following major components: Operating handle; Stand with pneumo- feed-motion and control gear; Clip gib; Weight; Swage die; Panch; Base stand; Knife; Air supply block; Air hoses; Travel adjustment screw (clip squeeze). When the handle goes down, an air starter switches on the pneumatic cylinder which serves as the driving system for the clipper КО-280 and transmits movement to the swage die. The clipping machine is fixed on the sausage tying table and connected to a compressing system. Operator puts the case into the working zone of the clipper and holds it with his/her left hand. With his/her right hand operator smoothly pushes the handle which starts the pneumomachine. The swage die locks a clip in the channel under the weight and moves it along the channel to the stationary die in the working zone. The operator needs to put the case or any other packaging into the working zone (it is also possible to lay additional rope loop into the working zone of the clipper). The operator holds the case by his/her left hand and smoothly pushes the handle by the right hand, therefore clipping the sausage. The clip is applied automatically; the handle is reset by the pullback spring. Excess casing can be cut off by the knife located in the lower part of the clipper body. The swage die is reset, and the next clip is fed into the channel automatically. The clipper is ready for the next operating cycle. It may become necessary to adjust the extent of clip squeeze depending on the packaging material thickness. The 280 clips are rather soft and can be used for the delicate casing like the collagen one. Production rates depend on the operator, approximately up to 50 cycles per minute.
